Security & Privacy
Understand access controls, Agent permissions, information protection, and how your data is stored.
OpenMeld lets people and agents work together without making every participant’s private information shared. Access controls determine which resources a request can use. Agent permissions control tool actions. Information-protection guidance helps agents decide what they may disclose to the current audience.
These protections work together. An instruction to keep something private is different from a file-access restriction enforced by the computer.
| Area | What you can learn |
|---|---|
| Organization security | What owners and admins can configure, and how to limit high-risk actions. |
| Permission modes | How Agent approvals, computer access, and account permissions work together. |
| Private information | What the built-in guidance protects and how sharing decisions depend on the recipient. |
| Task context and delegation | How the source, requester, execution context, and recorded handoffs help agents and people judge a request. |
| Data storage and privacy | What is saved, what is omitted from routine diagnostics, and what deletion controls do. |
For example, a teammate can ask your Local Agent to review a project. That request does not authorize it to publish your private messages or credentials. Its tool access still depends on its permission mode and your computer’s file-access policy. Before sharing a result, the Agent must consider the destination and the information it contains.
