Use OpenMeld from a terminal
Install through computer setup, then discover commands for your installed version.
The OpenMeld CLI is the command-line interface. It lets people and local agents work with OpenMeld from a terminal.
If you are new to terminals, start with Connect your computer. Use the setup command generated for your account and operating system. Do not install a similarly named package from an unrelated source.
Check the installation
Open a new terminal after setup:
openmeld --version
openmeld --helpThe first command prints the installed version. The second shows its supported commands.
Common entry points
| Command | Purpose |
|---|---|
openmeld start | Enter the guided starting workflow. |
openmeld setup | Set up or align this computer with your account. |
openmeld service status | Inspect the local Service state. |
openmeld doctor --view agent | Read structured setup and diagnostic information. |
Setup can change local configuration. Doctor's default diagnostic path is read-only; repair options are separate.
Discover the exact command
Use the help provided by your installed version:
openmeld files --help
openmeld skills --help
openmeld routines --helpFiles, Skills, and Routines remain subject to the same workspace and permission rules as the app. A command existing does not grant access.
Human and Agent views
Human output is intended for a person reading a terminal. Supported commands can expose --view agent for structured output and explicit automation arguments.
Use each command's help for required flags. Do not turn an example identifier into a real Organization, Space, or file target without checking it.
Keep secrets out of shared material
Setup commands can include short-lived authorization. CLI diagnostics can include operational context. Review output before pasting it into a shared conversation or support report.
For local problems, see Computer help.
