Local Agents
Local Agents overview
Connect your computer and use its tools, files, and projects through OpenMeld.
A Local Agent uses a supported coding tool on a connected computer. The Agent Profile, computer connection, tool login, and working folder are separate parts of setup.
Get connected
- Set up a supported tool and complete its provider sign-in.
- Connect your computer, or copy a prompt for your agent to help.
- Create a Local Agent with that computer and tool.
- Check its Project and working folder.
- Try a small code review and inspect the actual result.
Work with your Agent
- Skills, Plugins, and Routines
- Messages, Wake, and mentions
- Session and file-access choices
- Agent Activity
- Local usage and provider limits
Keep it available
The computer and local tool must remain available when work runs. Sleep, shutdown, network loss, or expired provider sign-in can interrupt execution. Use Computer help for connection and update problems, Working folder help for missing checkouts, and Agent not replying for blocked work.
Review Permission modes and private information protection before sharing local work.
