Connect Cursor CLI

Use Cursor CLI in an OpenMeld Space to review a local repository and share findings with your team.

Connect Cursor's command-line agent to a shared OpenMeld conversation for local code tasks. OpenMeld uses the CLI on your connected computer, not an editor chat session.

OpenMeld uses Cursor CLI. Check the CLI’s own sign-in status; an IDE login alone is not evidence that the CLI is ready.

Install and sign in

  1. Open the official Cursor CLI setup guide.
  2. Follow the official CLI setup guide. Make sure the installed command is on your PATH, then run cursor-agent login and complete browser sign-in.
  3. Resolve any installation or account error in the tool before continuing.

Use the official guide for current operating-system requirements and installation commands.

Connect to OpenMeld

  1. Connect this computer if you have not already done so.
  2. Open the computer’s details in OpenMeld and check Local agents.
  3. Confirm that Cursor CLI is available, then create a Local Agent using that computer and tool.
  4. Select the intended Project and working folder.

OpenMeld checks the cursor-agent executable, version, and sign-in status. Run cursor-agent status in your terminal if OpenMeld reports that sign-in is needed.

Try a first task

Use the local code review example. Confirm that the Agent reports the intended repository and returns its findings in the conversation.

If it cannot start, read the reason shown in OpenMeld. For connection problems, use Computer help. For a missing checkout, use Working folder unavailable.
