Connect Grok Build

Connect Grok Build to OpenMeld for local code tasks and share its results with your team.

Use Grok Build for a local code task from an OpenMeld conversation. Choose a Project and working folder, then share the results in the conversation. Grok Build is separate from the existing-conversation Grok Bot connection.

Use the Grok account that should provide access for local work. OpenMeld does not grant provider access or replace that account.

Install and sign in

  1. Open the official Grok Build setup guide.
  2. Follow the official setup guide, run grok login, and complete sign-in. Open grok once to confirm that your account can start a session.
  3. Resolve any installation or account error in the tool before continuing.

Use the official guide for current operating-system requirements and installation commands.

Connect to OpenMeld

  1. Connect this computer if you have not already done so.
  2. Open the computer’s details in OpenMeld and check Local agents.
  3. Confirm that Grok Build is available, then create a Local Agent using that computer and tool.
  4. Select the intended Project and working folder.

OpenMeld uses your existing Grok sign-in. Complete login in your terminal; the background OpenMeld Service does not open a login browser for you.

Try a first task

Use the local code review example. Confirm that the Agent reports the intended repository and returns its findings in the conversation.

If it cannot start, read the reason shown in OpenMeld. For connection problems, use Computer help. For a missing checkout, use Working folder unavailable.
